Going Home

Paton's going home on Monday!  We are so excited.  He's clear of infection, and his shunt seems to be functioning at this point.  The doctors are all pleased with his progress, and so are we.  The bulge at his surgery site on his back is much, much smaller, and isn't continually filling up with spinal fluid.

Hannah so much enjoys her new little brother.  She really wanted to stay with me at the hospital the other day to see him awake again and get to hold him, even though it meant sitting in the hospital ICU for about 5 hours.  She entertained herself by reading, but was thrilled when Pate woke up.  She really wanted to feed him and hold him.  Here are a couple of pictures.  She'll make a great mama some day.

God has been so good.  We hope to be all together again in about 3 days!

  4. How grateful I am to the Lord for having answered many prayers for Paton's health needs! I continue to pray for healing, for the Lord to give the doctors and surgeon His wisdom in helping baby Paton, that baby Paton could come home on Monday. We serve a lovingkind and faithful God!!! How many times through prayers and His precious, powerful Words we were helped and delivered in times of need (concern, worry, fear, sickness, bondage of sin, etc.) I myself just learned that lesson again and realized that the Lord had never failed to deliver me, even one time, when I made an effort to cling on His Word and the power of the prayers of others and of myself. All praise be to our glorious and precious Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. May our lost loved ones not despise and miss out of this great privilege and also of the grace, love, encouragement, comfort, strength and sustaining power of our Lord Jesus Christ!!! :-)
