Doing Better?

The doctors came in today and said that it looks to them as if some of the fluid has dissipated from the sack on Paton's back. Combined with the news that there is no fluid build-up in the head, that's encouraging. There is always the possibility of the need for a shunt later on, but for now we're continuing to wait. They will do another head ultrasound tomorrow, and maybe we'll know more by Tuesday. It was wonderful to be able to hold the little fella for the first time.

  1. So glad you got to hold him! I check your site every day so I can keep up with how to pray for you all. I shared a picture with our SS class and we are all praying!

  2. Very encouraging news! Thanks for the updates. I'm glad you're getting to hold him some. That's probably doing both of you a world of good. With me, my folks weren't able to hold me for the first 18 days after I was born. Things have certainly changed for the better for spina bifida kids since I was born. Take care and God bless.

  3. Thanks, Scott and Barbara. Is this Barb ... Lebo?

  4. Yes, it's Barb Lebo. My google account has me as Barbara. I guess I should try to change that. I hope they don't send Paton home yet. He sure looks like he needs to stay there for a while longer! Glad to hear a shunt isn't needed yet and that the siblings get to visit. We are praying that God guides the Dr.'s as to what is best for
    Paton.
